2020 chevrolet tahoe review

The Chevrolet Tahoe is on its final go around before the fifth-generation 2021 Tahoe hits the market. But before we overlook the 2020, in anticipation for the 2021, let’s talk about what the current SUV has to offer. There aren’t many changes/additions to 2020 compared to 2019. In this 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe Review, we will go through what this SUV has to offer.

2020 Chevrolet Tahoe Interior

Party of 7? No problem. With three rows, the Tahoe can seat 7-8 passengers. And, if you are lucky enough to sit in the front passenger seat or second row seat, you will have enough room to enjoy a long ride. However, if you hop into that third row seat, it might get a little tight. But a plus for everyone in the vehicle is the quiet, comfortable cabin.

If you plan on hauling more than six people, you want to consider one of its siblings in the longer Suburban or Yukon XL.

For those of you who care about interior storage space, let me put your mind at ease by telling you that the Tahoe has impressive storage space. Its cargo-carrying ability compares favorably with similarly sized rivals. Its center console is massive and has more room than most competitors. Extra storage space can be found in the cargo area.

Drive Time

With its base V8 engine the Tahoe’s fuel economy isn’t the best or worst. It gets 15 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. These numbers are close to average for a large SUV. If you decide to get the stronger V8 engine, you will see a difference in the city mpg, dropping to 14 mpg city.

With stable handling and a mostly nice ride, it can get bumpy over broken pavement. The light steering makes it easy to drive.

Tech and Safety

You will find a full-feature touchscreen infotainment system in every Tahoe. These include a Wifi Hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and it has responsive feedback. Five USB ports and five 12-volt outlets are distributed through each cabin. Have a little wiggle room in your budget? Add navigation, a 110-volt outlet, additional USB ports, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

An important note on safety features, none of them are standard. Available features are: forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.

Final Thoughts

Throughout this 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe review we were able to come up with some final thoughts. When it comes to mpg, you are getting the average amount across this category. The technology offered will get you close to what other brands are offering. As for safety, the lack of standard features makes me think you should consider other brands, to see what may be standard with them. It might be able to save you some money. I think the thing I like the most about this vehicle is how it looks, and that is important to many people these days.
