The Chevrolet Trax, classified as a subcompact SUV, has just enough of what you need, but not much more. There is nothing too special about this vehicle, so if you like being low-key, the Trax knows how to do that.
Model Options
The 2020 Chevrolet Trax is available in three models,LS, LT, Premier. While there are standard features across all three models, some features you would think are available on the Premier model, are only an option to add.
Interior
This vehicle seats five passengers. Whether or not that seats them comfortably, is something you will have to decide on your own. I will give you my opinion, and say, no. If you plan on rarely having a full car, the Trax will work fine. Even if you are just headed to the park with your dog or your children, they will be comfortable. It is when you decide to have full grown adults, is when it will get a little tight.
The back seats do fold down, which is very convenient when you need the extra room in the trunk.
When it comes to storage, there isn’t a lot. The lack of center console can add a tally in the, “cons” section. But having four cup holders in the place of it, might add to the “pros” list?! Besides the glove compartment, there is one other area, under the radio that has space for you to put, change, phone, etc.
Drive Time
You can expect to get about 26 MPG city and 31 MPG highway. Those miles however, won’t be too smooth. Accelerating to get onto a freeway or switch lanes, will require patience because it will not happen as quickly as some might like. To prevent any surprises, I will say that it isn’t the most peaceful ride. You hear and feel a lot.

Tech and Safety
An infotainment center is standard across all models, and is quite user friendly. Each model also includes 4G LTE WiFi. To add to the entertainment and convenience, the Trax has outlets. If you need to charge your laptop on the way to class, or touch up your hair before you walk into a date (while you are parked, of course), you can do that!
Ten airbags surround the vehicle for your safety. LATCH system and rear child security door locks make it a safe ride for children. Rear vision cameras and LED Daytime running lamps are a couple more safety features on this vehicle.
Final Thoughts
The price point on the 2020 Chevrolet Trax is very appealing. It can be a great purchase for a student, as a first car, or for someone who needs something to get them around town. The most inviting aspects of this vehicle has to be, Tech and Safety, and that isn’t a bad thing. Who doesn’t want those things?
