Mark your calendars for the debut of the 2021 Ford Bronco. In case you are trying to do some math in your head, it has been 25 years since the last time Ford has manufactured one of these bad boys.

So, the 2021 is said to have removable doors, a removable roof, and a high dose of ruggedness. It will be offered in two models. The standard model is based on the underpinnings and body-on-frame construction of the Ford Ranger pickup truck. Also, it may have the same 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four of the Ranger.

While the Bronco will be available in four-door and two-door staples, a smaller version is also in the pipelines. The difference is, the mini Bronco will most likely share a car-like unibody platform. Based on a leaked VIN decoder discovered by the folks at BroncoSportForum.com, the base model will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower.

As for the Bronco Sport, it will come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged, which is likely good for up to 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. A guess is that a manual gearbox is standard while an eight-speed automatic is available across the lineup.

Lucky for us, we only need to wait a few more weeks to see the reincarnation of Ford’s Bronco SUV.
